I was looking at my process in the Windows task manager and I saw a “Microsoft Edge” running !
Okay it’s to speed up the launch but I don’t want it !
Turn off Microsoft Edge as a Background App
Press the Windows Key + S and type in privacy and click on Privacy settings. Alternatively, go to your Control Panel > Privacy.
On the left side, scroll down until you see App Permissions and find Background apps.
On the right-hand side look for Microsoft Edge and make sure that it’s turned off. A reboot will be required before Edge no longers runs in the background.
